"I'm often asked why I became an orthopedic specialist. I'll never forget what led me
to the profession. In the 6th grade, I had a serious knee injury. I had two surgeries
and a cast, and my recovery took months. The orthopedic surgeon who took care of me was
great and truly inspired me.
"That experience also taught me a great deal about caring for patients. My surgeon
explained everything to me and was simply a nice, good person. I always remember that
as my patient, you need not just my medical expertise but my compassion and understanding.
It can make a hard time in your life easier, and I'm glad I can be here for you."
